Eyeshadow or liquid eyeshadow?

I have tried powder eyeshadow and i get allergic reactions even to hypoallergenic. My mom thinks its the powder getting into my eyes is what irritates it, so she thinks I should try liquid eyeshadow.





For all that use liquid eyeshadow answer:

Maybe it's the brand. Start by using an eye primer before applying shadow to keep it on your lid. Try using a high quality eyeshadow such as Mary Kay.Eyeshadow or liquid eyeshadow?
I have tried both and I prefer powder only because the liquid eyeshadow tends to get sticky and messy.


But, I would still give it a try.


To apply it to your eyes I would get a tube kind and squeeze about a pea size amount onto your index finger and then gently rub it on your eye.


I use smokey colors and purples(I have green eyes).


You should try greens and blues.
while you certainly can get eye irritation due to powder falling into the eyes, it's more likely that you are having a reaction to the dyes in the shadows, which means you could have reactions to other formulas, as well. i know several people who have this problem.





i do not use liquid shadows, but i do use shadow ';crayons'; and cream and mousse shadows from merle norman. they are really nice, but a little pricey... $15 each. i use small flat shadow brushes to apply the creams and mousses. i like browns and greys. with brown eyes, you can pull off any color....particularly green and purple.
try chanel eyeshadows..they are the best.


they also make a liquid.


try both %26amp; decide which one you prefer.


i like their powders..you will not have a reaction to them.

i dont use liquid bc it seems messy . i would suggest an eyeliner stick (loreal hip has one , its like 8 ) and dont apply it all the way to the corners . then it might not get into your eyes ) i dont know what kind of look ur going for so i cant recommend a color sorry
I don't like liquid, it seems to get into the creases. You might try Clinique touch tint for eyes. I like it alot!
you shouldnt use liquid eyeshadow if u rub at ur eyes at all..it smears and usually gets in ur eyes..if u decide to go with the liquid you should get a medium brown color something slightly darker then ur original eye color but significant enough to notice the difference. and yea they do make liquid eyeshadow..its just thicker then liquid..but they call it liquid eyeshadow
i prefer powder cause it blends in better.


the liquid eye shadow might help but many liquid eye shadows after they dry turn into powder and thats the whole idea.


well usually liquid shadows have a special tip like lipgloss has to apply the shadow. you can also use your fingers later to smooth out the shadow.


i used white before and blue, dont try something drastic like dark or purple cause the colors do come out really bright.


with light skin use light pink or green.
